Classrooms

Explorers
6 weeks-2 years
This classroom is home to our youngest children, typically ranging in age from 6 weeks to 24 months. Teachers provide attentive care while gently encouraging each child to develop independence at their own pace. As they grow, children are supported in learning to put on their own clothes and shoes, feed themselves, and engage in cooperative play with peers. The curriculum centers around play and sensory-rich exploration, with activities that support both gross and fine motor development. Young children are naturally drawn to hands-on experiences, from stacking blocks to caring for baby dolls. These early interactions help build foundational skills in empathy, sharing, and social connection, preparing children for greater independence in the next stage of their learning journey.
Trailblazers
2-3 years
The Trailblazers classroom is designed for toddlers between the ages of 2 and 3 years. At this stage, children are developing a strong sense of independence, and much of the focus is on self-care skills such as toilet learning, feeding themselves, dressing, and understanding routines. Social-emotional development is a key part of the daily experience, with gentle guidance around sharing, expressing needs with words, and engaging in calm, respectful interactions with peers. Learning is hands-on, play-based, and driven by each child’s natural curiosity. Children explore their world through activities that invite them to ask questions, experiment with materials, and discover how things work. They begin to notice patterns, sort and group objects, and observe simple cause-and-effect relationships. Language development is woven into every part of the day through songs, stories, and conversations that help toddlers express themselves more clearly. Dramatic play offers opportunities for imagination and role-playing, while also supporting social growth as children learn to cooperate, share, and build friendships in a warm, nurturing environment.
Navigators & Adventurers
3-5 years
Our preschool classrooms, the Adventurers and the Navigators, serve children ages 3 to 5 in a multi-age setting where learning is guided by the children’s interests and questions. Rooted in an emergent curriculum approach, the classroom environment evolves in response to what captivates the children, encouraging exploration, collaboration, and creativity. Social development is central, as children build relationships, practice empathy, and work together through play and project-based learning. Teachers support early literacy, math, and problem-solving by integrating foundational skills into meaningful, child-led experiences. Children engage in activities like journaling, collecting and graphing data based on group discoveries, and identifying patterns in their environment. These experiences not only build academic readiness but also nurture independence and critical thinking.
